Black And White – Here to Stay!

Black and white has always been a recurring theme on the catwalks of Milan, Paris, London and New York, and the collections of autumn and winter 2012 are no exception. In this article, I will take you through a few of my favourite pieces so that you can wear this style with maximum effect.

  • Dressing for Work– this beautiful dress is perfect for any working environment. It is comfortable, simple and stylish. Simply paired with opaque black tights and black patent heels, this outfit will look stunning. Make it even more stylish with chunky white bracelets. To finish the look, either go with curly hair and a black ribbon, or tie the hair into a high ponytail for a look that is sleek and sexy.
  • A Night on the Town – this dress is perfect for a night on the town, whether that’s a night in a swanky bar, a meal with the girls or even clubbing until the early hours of the morning. Pair it with purple tights and patent black heels. If you can find statement jewellery in the same colour as the tights, even better. If not, chunky black jewellery will also look fantastic. To finish, tie your hair into a ballet bun, with a few strands of hair left loose and curled into perfect loose cork screws.
  • The Perfect Prom Dress – most girls will know that finding the perfect prom dress can be incredibly stressful. Well look no further. This piece is perfect in every way. It is the right length for beauty and comfort. It is simple but elegant. Team it with black strappy heels and sparkly statement jewels. For hair that complements this dress, I suggest a half up half down style. Take the top layer of your hair and tie it into a loose plaited ponytail. Curl the other half.
  • Fun in the Sun – this gorgeous summer dress is perfect for those warm summer evenings. Unlike the other designs, this dress is predominantly white, which is perfect for sunny days as white reflects the sun. It will leave you glowing. This dress will look amazing paired with black wedges and a black beaded necklace.
