Blackheads Home Remedy – Cinnamon Powder

Blackheads are annoying and let’s admit it, it’s not a pretty sight to see. Oftentimes, we go to skin care clinics to help us get rid of this annoying little black things on our face. But not everyone loves the pricking! If you are like me who finds pricking very uncomfortable, try this homemade remedy to combat blackheads.

Cinnamon can be used to remove blackheads and even prevents their future growth. Here’s how:

Recipe 1:

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • honey – enough to create a thick paste
  • Mix cinnamon powder and honey
  • Apply mixture to affected area
  • Leave it overnight and rinse the following day

Recipe 2:

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 pinch turmeric powder
  • Mix everything to form a paste
  • Apply mixture to affected area
  • Leave it overnight and rinse the following day

Green BeauTea Tips and Benefits

It’s not a secret how beneficial is green tea for our health. I have started drinking green tea every after meal for a week now in my effort to live a healthier life and losing a little weight. But do you know that green tea is a great source to include in our beauty regimen? Here are some of the amazing beauty benefits of our favorite green tea.

For a Healthier and Shinier Hair – yes I know! I didn’t think aside from sipping it, my hair is also craving for it. Green tea is also known to stimulate hair growth and softens hair. For 15 minutes, steep 3-4 bags green tea bags in boiling water (half a liter) and allow to cool overnight or few hours if you are doing it during the day time. Wash hair (not necessarily shampooed) and then pour the cooled water with green tea onto your hair and leave it on for 10 minutes. Make sure you shampoo and condition your hair afterwards to seal in the shine.

Healthy Skin and Sunburn Remedy – a healthier skin with the help of green tea can also be achieved by using it externally.

Mix 100 grams of green tea in ½ liter of water and let it sit for 30-40 minutes at room temperature. Strain the liquid and store it in refrigerator. This mixture can be used to refresh your tired face or a treatment to cuts, blemishes, minor rashes and sun burns. This also will help clear acne from skin and prevents it from coming back.
On the other hand, Oligomeric proanthocyanidins is known to be one of the most powerful natural antioxidants and Green Tea is found to have this. This helps in keeping the skin youthful by slowing down its ageing process. Use Green Tea as a gentle exfoliator by mixing 1 teaspoon of green tea leaves to 3 teaspoons of yogurt and slowly massage it on face then let it stay for 5 minutes before washing the face with lukewarm watter.

Natural Sunscreen – The free radicals of the UV rays settling between skin cells weakens the healthy protection system of our skin resulting to unwanted formation of wrinkles in the skin. A sunscreen is a must in going out especially during times where the sun is up. Commercial sunscreens is undeniably expensive and some doesn’t even live up to their promises of protection. The good news is we can make our own sunscreen protection at home using the Green Tea we have.

Boil 2 cups of water with ½ cup of green tea leaves for 5-10 minutes on medium heat. Separate leaves and let the solution cool down. As simple as that! To apply, take a small quantity of the solution in a clean cotton ball and then apply it on a clean face. The rest of the solution you can store it in an air tight container. Use regularly.

Potato
This might be surprising, but YES! A potato can aid is making that underarm much lighter. Sline potato thinly and scrub it to underarms. Its mild acidic properties (yet non-irritating to your skin) is an effective natural bleaching agent.

You can opt to make the juice out from potato and apply to the area and letting it dry before washing it off with a splash of lukewarm water. Do this everyday for faster result.

Cucumber
It’s natural bleaching agent lightens the underarms. Aside from putting a slice on your eyes to soothe eyebags, you can also rub it to the underarms to lighten it. Let is stay there for few minutes until it dries before washing it off.

Baking Soda
Perhaps you have heard Baking soda being part to a dozens of beauty tips from different blogs. This time, use baking soda to lighten your underarms. Make a baking soda natural homemade scrub by adding with a bit of water to make a thick paste. This scrub is great to get rid of the damaged and dead cells, unclogging the pores, and kill the germs living in the area and what you’ll get is a clean, odor-free, and lighten skin.
