Latest Makeup Buzz – Glossier Brand New Product Released

Last month at the Grammys, Glossier hinted a big release of something new after posting a photo of Beyoncé captioned “Beyoncé wears ___ in ___ (coming soon)”. Enough to tease the excitement and curiosity of makeup fanatics and artists.

So fast forward to the day of the Oscars’ glitz and glamour, Glossier released their new product, the Lidstar, a glistening eye glow. Driving the hype of this Lidstar, it debuted its glistening eye glow via beauty looks of Salma Hayek, Greta Gerwig, Tracee Ellis Ross, Taraji Hensona, and Oscars best supporting actress winner Allison Janney.

These shiny babies are  housed in test tube-ish packaging with a doe foot applicator, promise to ‘lock on’ to lids for up to 12 hours without creasing, fading, or smudging.

Available in six high-shine shades in Lily, Moon, Slip, Cub, Fawn, and Herb. According to each shade is one of a kind—different coated pigments, different pearls, different flecks, different special effects . It will cost $18, or two for $30.

One great thing with this (personally) is the no primer required in application according to Glossier. Impressive! Pretty soon tons of beauty bloggers and vloggers will put this claim to test.

All of the shades are now available on and I’m guessing, fawn will be a sold out.

Blue Pigments : Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello ladies! Back here in Inyaki’s corner for another day of fabulous eye makeup “InstaGuide”. This one is absolutely gorgeous! I love blue and I cannot wait to try this myself! If you have loose pigments on your makeup kit, don’t throw them away as you can still definitely use them. Here, Inyaki, used loose pigments for this amazing outcome.

eye makeup tips 1

1. Base the eyes with primer
2. Highlight browbone and inner eye (Urban Decay in Zephyr)
3. Apply the pigments on 3/4 of the eyelid gently patting/tapping it on and accentuate the crease (Bobby Brown in Caviar)
4. Line both lower and upper eyelid (lower: Urban Decay in crystal, upper eyelid: Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid eyeliner)
5. Fill in the brows (Fanny Serrano brow powder)
6. And finally lippies (use something light as we only want to highlight 1 feature)
