Natural Home Remedies for Acne Breakouts

Pimple breakout is very frustrating (I can totally relate!) and as much as I want to use over the counter products, I am very skeptic because most of them doesn’t work. I suffered from these breakouts for more than a month now and it is wearisome. I am a huge fan of practical home remedies in almost everything so I naturally resorted to it. Here are some helpful tips on how to get rid of those stubborn pimples and acne. Most of these can be found in your kitchen. The lemon juice and hot water worked for me. I hope these will also help you.

Nutmeg and Raw Milk – Grind nutmeg and add a little raw milk to it. Apply the mixture and leave it for about 1 or 2 hours. This does not get rid of pimples, this also get rid of those scars.

Pomegranate fruit – roasted and powdered peels of pomegranate fruit take away pimples. Add some lime juice to this powder to make a paste like mixture.

Dried basil leaves – On a cup of water, add 2 to 3 teaspoon of dried basil leaves and boil the mixture for 15-20 minutes. Let the mixture cool and apply on affected areas. Do this on a regular basis to get rid of those pimples.

Ripe tomatoes or Cucumber – Use their pulp to treat pimples. Apply pulp of either ripe tomato or cucumber for an hour or so.

Garlic –may not be the most pleasant smelling remedy but this is effective. Rub garlic on the affected area several times a day. For quick result, you can also take garlic internally.

Apple and Honey – make a facial mask in a grated apple with honey to treat pimples and acne.

Lemon Juice and Groundnut oil – combine equal amount of lemon juice and groundnut oil and apply on face. Lemon juice and cinnamon powder is a great combination also.

Lemon Juice – wet a cloth with hot water (depend on how much you can tolerate) and pat it on face to open the pores then apply lemon juice on the pimple or affected areas overnight.

Raw papaya juice – apply it on the pimple to cure them naturally.

Tea tree oil and aloe Vera gel – they both have anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties that help in dealing with Pimples. Marigold and wheat germ oil are also effective against Pimples.
