There are times where we find ourselves in a beauty emergency (reminds me of my fashion emergency few days back!) and usual fix to get away with it is just not possible or available. How about that annoying unwanted pimple sprouting or when your hair is too oily and you have no time to really fix it? Well, I found some quick tips to remedy common issues we encounter.
Black Tea – Food Deodorizer
When you don’t have much time and even budget to fix that not so nice-smelling foot odor, check your kitchen for black tea. The tannins are helpful in neutralizing odor. Steep 2-3 bags in a bowl filled with warm (not hot!) water – then set your stopwatch for 15 minutes and get soaking.
Tamarind Natural Skin Peel
Tamarind is packed with enzymes, fruit acids and vitamin C that its pulp works as a gentle skin peel, much like pineapples and papaya exfoliating the top layer of the skin. Massage the fresh pulp of the tamarind directly to the skin (no need to puree) and leave it for few minutes then rinse. You may also mix it with water or honey and use it as mask.
Zit Zapper leave it to Advil Liqui-Gels
Weird? well, it does work!has long been known as an in-a-pinch zit zapper but nowadays, liquid gels formula have become a pimple fighter too! Just open up an Advil gel cap and apply it right onto the pimple. It takes the swelling down right away.
Baby Powder is Shampoo
Seriously?! yes it is.If you have oily roots, massage and blow-dry talc powder into the roots to absorb oil. You might be in a treatment or it’s your third day not washing the hair for some important reason, baby powder should help take away the greasiness.
Baking Soda as Deodorant
Oh yes! it is not only for your cooking or baking! It can definitely come to your rescue when needed. Take a small amount of baking soda for yourself, and pat under your underarms. It’ll do the same job deodorizing you as it does your fridge, by absorbing odors.
