However, there was 1 episode from that stuck in my mind. Michael Kors was interviewed and he was talking about making a new kind of cloth. And that moment, i told myself I want to be a fashion designer. From there, I started to sketch designs and It was in 2005, that I was introduced to Mark Yaranon.
Ladysoda: Who is your fashion designer hero/why?
Joshua: Mark Yaranon. He is not only a very good friend but also a very good mentor. He taught me everything and even up to this day, I still go to him for advises , fashion and otherwise.
Ladysoda: What is your ultimate goal?
Joshua: My ultimate goal, is to have a shop on my own and showcase my collection outside the Philippines. So, I am working hard to improve my craft and surpass what I did before.
Ladysoda: Any advise to the aspiring designers out there?
Joshua: For those people who wants to be a designer, just believe in yourself and dream. and, work hard to achieve those dreams. It might be nasty but it’s very fulfilling in the end.
