This is probably among the craziest nail trend I have ever seen! It’s something I don’t see myself trying in the near future 😀 but you might want to give it a try yourself. This nail trend is called the “Bubble” Nail. It’s been circulating around instagram lately and I thought of sharing it with you ladies. Do you wanna go crazy with it?
Call it a “hump” day when you get into this bubble nail trend. In order to get the bubble nail look, start with a ball of acrylic in the middle of the nail. In an article from NailsMag, a certain Hoa Bui (Nail tech) at Ann’s Nail Salon in Philadelphia explained how bubble nails is done. And I quote:
“Bubble nails require building and sculpting of the acrylic until you get the look your client wants to achieve. You have to know exactly where the hump is supposed to be, then slowly build the nails. You start with a ball of acrylic in the middle of the nail, which is the highest part of the hump. The nail has to be thin at the cuticle, then it gradually gets thicker as it gets to the middle of the nail plate. Then from the middle of the nail plate it has to gradually get thinner at the tip of the nail, like a nice smooth hill. The curve has to be perfect.”
Uusi ilmiö… #bubblenails #humpnails #whatthefuck #whatistismadness #sisäinenoksennus #areyoufuckingkiddingme #puremadness jos teistä kukaan ikinä koskaan tulee multa pyytään tämmöset, tapan. Aivan varmasti tapan. If someone ever ask me to do this kind of nails, i probably kill someone…

So what do you think? Is this something you want to sport? Let me know your thoughts!
I guess there’s no doubt Gwen Stefani is among the world’s most stylish celebrities. I just love how versatile her fashion statement is. She can go from badass to sweet without hurting my eyes. But generally when I think of Gwen Stefani, I think of platinum hair, red luscious lips, fierce eyes and No Doubt some sexy top showing her sexy abs! Well, this time, Gwen’s nails will be the center of the attraction as leading Nail Color brand O.P.I collaborates with the No Doubt front singer. O.P.I’s brand new line “standout color in breakthrough finishes”
This collection of nail polish is created to celebrate “the role of music as a major influence in fashion” and is said to reflect the the 2013 Met Gala theme, “Punk: Chaos to Couture”. Gwen Stefani will definitely represent this perfectly. The collection will have mattes and glossies and glitters *Insert my giggly, excited face here*. The 7 nail polish are the Hey Baby, I Sing In Color, Love.Angel.Music.Baby, 4 In The Morning, In True Stefani Fashion and Push & Shove. The line’s signature shade, Over & Over A-Gwen (a red to rival Stefani’s perma-rouge pout) will also be available as a box set which will come with fun things like Swarovski black crystals and silver, gold and pewter studs! I am just soooo excited!
Gwen Stefani x OPI is expected to hit the shelves in January 2014.
One of my pet peeves is a lousy and almost does not last nail polish (the type where it wears out the next day after application). I have tried local brands and nothing seem to really work for me. I figured it must be my oily nails or must be the lack of base coat or whatever! It’s really a hassle having to re-apply nail polish very often.
With my recent trip to my favorite “ukay” spot, I dropped by a local taiwanesse store to buy some school materials for the kiddos and I was so thrilled to see some OPI Nail Polish on their nail care section! Geeezzz! at first I thought it was one of those imitations stuff they are selling. I checked it out and found out to be authentic, and guess what?! it’s on sale! (50% off at that!). Check out the little “hoard” I indulged myself into.
