A Journey in the Heart of the Southeast Asian Trail Running Cup: The Unseen Heroes Behind the Scenes

As the sun still hid behind the horizon, the Southeast Asian Trail Running Cup (SEATRC) 2023 commenced in the early hours of the morning. Organized by PHILTRA in partnership with Tawid Mountain Marathon, the event brought together athletes from across Southeast Asia. By 2:00 AM, the organizers, crew, and everyone else behind the cup were already on their feet, having worked tirelessly the day before to ensure everything was in place.

One of the most exhilarating parts of my journey was working with the Dream Team Creatives: Justine, Amethyst, and Litlit. Their creativity and passion for ensuring good livestream coverage and social media updates were truly inspiring. Their tireless efforts meant that even those who couldn’t be there in person could still feel the energy and excitement of the event.

The success of the SEATRC was a collective effort, with seamless collaboration from the Local Government Unit (LGU) and countless volunteers. The event featured exhilarating races in various categories, from elite runners to passionate amateurs. Looking back, the SEATRC was more than just a sporting event; it was a celebration of human spirit and perseverance. It was an honor to be part of this incredible journey, and I look forward to many more adventures on the trails.
