PalawanPay Marathon draws over 1700 runners and fitness enthusiasts in Puerto Princesa City

With over 1,700 runners participating, PalawanPay reaffirmed its commitment to its expanding client base in the region through the successful hosting of the PalawanPay Marathon at Mendoza Park, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

As the country’s fastest-growing e-wallet service from the Palawan Group of Companies, PalawanPay brought together runners of all levels, backgrounds, and cultures.

While many joined for the thrill and experience, a large number of competitive athletes aimed for personal records. A total of 1,751 participants competed across five race distances: 3K, 5K, 10K, 21K, and 42K, a notable increase from last year’s event, which attracted over 1,000 runners.

The marathon featured three race categories with cash prizes for the winners. In the 42K All Nations Men’s category, the top finishers were Eric Chepsiror, David Kipsang, and Jerome Casinillo. In the 42K All Nations Women’s category, Artjoy Torregosa, Maricar Camacho, and Lesly Amm Wabingga claimed the top three spots. The winners received cash prizes of P25,000, P20,000, and P15,000, respectively. In the 21K race, Mc Xavier Martinez and Jila Antonio each secured the top prize of P15,000 in the men’s and women’s categories.
