Leveling Up My Relaxation With Simple But Fun Online Games
As a person who is always busy with work, I find ways to relax myself from time to time. I usually engage in fitness related activities to improve my mind and body, but it’s not all the time that I’d have the energy to go out and put my body to work. Growing up as a kid, my family have always enjoyed playing video games. When I was little, we had this console called a “Family Computer” you rarely see working units of the Family Computer nowadays, and yes, it is that old! Having the console as kid jumpstarted my fondness for video games. Although I rarely play video games nowadays since I focus more on fitness and lifestyle, I have also considered the thought of checking out video games to relax myself.
While scrolling through TikTok, a few gaming videos popped up on my feed, and I found myself really enjoying them! One game that stood out was a grocery cashier simulator. Watching how people interacted with the game and played through different scenarios was surprisingly entertaining. It seemed almost therapeutic, and I became curious to try it myself. I started browsing online for games that felt both fun and relaxing. I came across some interesting options on Steam, but since I had other priorities, I wasn’t too eager to spend money on games. So, I continued searching for free alternatives online. It took a while, but eventually, I discovered a game that was both fun and engaging.
After spending some time searching online, I came across a game called Grocery Cashier, where you play the role of a grocery store cashier, as the title suggests. Since I had enjoyed watching cashier simulator clips on TikTok, I decided to give it a try. I was always curious about what it would feel like to work in such a fast-paced environment. The game started with a simple tutorial, teaching me the basic operations, and it felt easy at first. But as soon as a time-pressure element was introduced, the challenge ramped up, making it much more engaging. I found myself racing against the clock, testing my math skills to quickly calculate transactions. I kept pushing to beat my high score with each round. I discovered Grocery Cashier on a website called Mortgage Calculator, which offers a variety of games, but this one really stood out, and I ended up spending the most time on it.
I also explored games similar to Grocery Cashier, and after some searching, I came across another game called Cashier Simulator. It had a lot of the same mechanics, but I found it to be more challenging. The time pressure in Cashier Simulator was even more intense, which pushed me to think and react faster, making it a lot more fun. My confidence in my math skills made the experience even more enjoyable, as the game really put my mental agility to the test while keeping things entertaining. This session made me realize just how much I enjoy simulator games—they might just become my go-to whenever I want to relax and have fun.
I did not expect to have so much fun in such a simple game. I think kids or others who are kids at heart would definitely enjoy these types of games, not only that it is fun, it also exercises the brain. I would definitely look for similar games in the future when I have the time and will share it with you guys!
