September 24, 2025 – Manila, Philippines – Walt Disney Studios officially announced that the filmed version of the groundbreaking Broadway production Hamilton will arrive in select Philippine cinemas for one week only, beginning October 1, 2025. The release coincides with the 10th anniversary celebration of the show’s original Broadway debut.
Philippine audiences will get to experience not just the award-winning musical, but also Reuniting the Revolution – a special prologue created exclusively for this theatrical release. This feature includes brand-new interviews with members of the original cast and creative team, offering fresh insights into the impact the show has had on their lives and on culture at large.
“When we filmed Hamilton, our goal was to capture the feeling of sitting inside the Richard Rodgers Theatre during that unforgettable first year on Broadway,” shares director and producer Thomas Kail. “We’re beyond excited that audiences can now relive that experience on the big screen.”
The global theatrical rollout began in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico on September 5, followed by the U.K. and Ireland on September 26. Australia and New Zealand will welcome the film on November 13, with the Philippines joining the celebration this October.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and direction by Thomas Kail, Hamilton is inspired by Ron Chernow’s biography Alexander Hamilton. The production is led by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Jeffrey Seller, with Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman as executive producers. Filming was produced by RadicalMedia.
